To support the Merdeka Learning program, the Merdeka Campus helps schools affected by the COVID-19 pandemic; the Directorate General of Higher Education, the Ministry of Education and Culture, in collaboration with the Education Fund Management Institute (LPDP), organizes the Campus Teaching Program Batch 1 of 2021 by involving lecturers from various universities. In Indonesia, as a field supervisor bridges learning difficulties in elementary schools both online and offline. Campus Teaching is part of the Merdeka Campus program, which aims to provide opportunities for students to learn and develop themselves through activities outside the classroom. In the campus teaching program, students will be placed in elementary schools throughout Indonesia and assist in the teaching and learning process at these schools.
Based on LETTER OF ASSIGNMENT Number 1547/E1/KP.04.00/2021 On March 22, 2021, there were 14,621 Lecturers from all over Indonesia who were declared to have passed the selection and served as DPL. Of this number, 14 UNG Lecturers passed the selection as Field Supervisors (DPL), including 3 (three) Lecturers from the Department of Physics: Dr. Trisnawaty J Buhungo, M.Pd; Meilan Demulawa, S.Pd., M.Pd; and Idawati Supu, S.Si., M.Sc. These DPLs are tasked with guiding students for 12 Weeks in the Field, covering activities: pre-assignment, assignment, and end of a project. DPL coordinated activities with the local Education Office in the pre-assignment according to the assignment location. DPL coordinated with the Elementary School (SD) and accompanied students during activities by monitoring/approving initial reports, daily reports, weekly student reports, and sharing sessions. Every two weeks, as well as the examination of the final piece of activities and giving grades to students. According to recommendations from the Department, this activity is worth 12 credits and can be converted into courses with the same content in this activity. In addition, at the end of the action, DPL withdraws directly to the student's assignment location.
This activity is also very well received by the City and District Education Offices, and it is hoped that through this activity, it can make schools that are still accredited C become more accredited so that they are of higher quality and superior. Likewise, the Department of Physics, in particular, strongly supports programs like this as one of the implementations of the MBKM program. In addition, this is a form of dedication and service to the country.
